Halloween Guide - Frights and Family Friendly Fall Fun in New Jersey!

Here at Pinto Carpentry we really love celebrating all things creepy, crawly, ooky, and spooky! We’ve rounded up some great entertainment for Halloweekend so you can make the most of it with your friends and family. From parades to fall festivals to scary science experiments to haunted houses, you’ll find no shortage of thrills, chills and excitement all around the great garden state in our special edition Halloween Guide.

Halloween Guide: Family Friendly Fall Fun in New Jersey


On Thursday, October 26th starting at 5PM head out for Flemington’s annual Halloween Kids costume contest and parade. If you register in advance you’ll be eligible to win a special seasonal prize package!


The NJ Jazz and Chicago Style Steppers Club is proud to present the first ever Annual Halloween Party! Enjoy an evening of music, stepping, dancing, prizes and Halloween fun! Starts at 7PM through 10:30PM at 724 Park Avenue in Plainfield on Friday October 27th


On Friday October 27th, Kids will have a blast at Kid PT’s Spooky Sensory Halloween Lab in Raritan from 4:30 to 6:30. This event is for all ages and it’s free! They’ll have a blast experimenting with slime, digging for worms, and checking out a science experiment with dry ice.




Head over to Mamajuana Cafe in Plainfield on Saturday October 28th starting at 8PM for “The Horror Story” with music by La Melkma, Boom, and J Garcia. There will be a cash prize, live entertainment, and much more. Adults only; Halloween dress code observed, be creative! General admission with limited capacity and limited tickets so reserve now!




Fusion Dance Center is hosting a Hip Hop Halloween event for kids aged 5 through 10 from 6PM to 9PM on Saturday, October 28th in Roselle Park. Pizza and Treats will be included, so RSVP ASAP to reserve your spot. Costumes are encouraged and children will be allowed to grab candy from the witches cauldron, wrap a mummy, learn the thriller dance, and decorate their own trick or treat bags!


Zentimacy Yoga in Carteret is hosting Halloween Movie Night with yoga, activities, snacks, and a movie on Saturday, October 28th. Costumes strongly encouraged! Event is recommended for kids aged 5 through 12, and it runs from 6PM to 8PM.

The Metuchen Downtown Alliance is pleased to present the Haunted Downtown Experience on Saturday October 28th from 11AM to 4PM. Families can enjoy a plethora of Halloween and Fall themed events such as T-Rex Walking downtown, Corn Mazes, Pumpkin Bounce House, Monster Mash Dance Off, Fortune Telling, Haunted Scarolers singing, and so very much more. This is not a trick or treating event, but costumes are always welcomed. Enjoy music and games, arts and crafts, snacks and drinks, and more.


On Sunday October 29th at Crystal Springs in East Brunswick, the whole family will enjoy the Halloween Family Fun Fest with Trunk or Treat, Arts and crafts, a “haunted walk”, food trucks, photo booths, and so much more. Event runs from 12PM to 3PM; register your vehicle for the Trunk or Treat and receive two free trunk or treat passes.


Above Art Studios in New Brunswick is hosting a Halloween celebration filled with food, fine art, and frightfully good fun. Costumes encouraged and unlimited mimosas available from 1:30 to 3:30 on Sunday, October 29th for the Costume Brunch event.



Paint Nite is hosting a Halloween Pumpkins Painting event for teens and adults starting at 7PM at the TGI Fridays of Old Bridge. Tickets include materials. Food and beverage available.
